reference sheet- Christopher Lloyd

These are the first trials in the program ZBrush 4. A head, foot and hand made with brushes like Clay Buildup Brush, Dam Standard, Pinch,.... I worked on it about one month and I tried to get a realistic shape of the different bodytyps. For the head I chose Doc Brown (Christopher Llyod) from the movie Back to the Future because he has such an interesting look in his face and his wrinkles were a good exercise to learn how the human skin is built.

concept sheet

This character is a mash-up between two typs of ideas- one was that the character design -his silhouette and shape of his body should be based on the characters of  the Game Team Fortress 2- and the second was to mix it with a character from the horror genre. We were a team of three people and we choose that we take the main persons of the most famous movies/games in the horror genre and my character was a mix of the medic from Team Fortress2 and Pyramide Head from Silent Hill.
Why the mech-arm? Because of Team Fortress 2- Mecha- Update, another inspiration.
Starting with concept sheets to got the idea of how he should look like and up to modelling in maya 2012.

Used maps:  Diffuse, Specular map.
Textur was made in Photoshop CS6.
Used Tris: 5477
Max Tris: 6000

On of my first trials in the range of 3D Art. It was one of the exercises during my education at SAE Institute to create an iPhone 4 in Maya 2012. The properties of it are a little wider and thicker than the original.
